Celebrities make the news all the time for going under the knife voluntarily. Cosmetic surgery is a big business, and many stars are open about which procedures they’ve had, or hadn’t.
But what about the celebs who’ve had to get surgery as a result of traumatic injury or infection?
Millions of people in the US, including a number of celebrities, have experienced an amputation of some sort. In a country where visibility for people with disabilities is often lacking, we sometimes don’t even realize when a famous person has one.
