It’s no secret that Gigi Hadid kept much of her pregnancy last year very private. The model gave limited interviews during her pregnancy and didn’t even show off her baby bump until she was two months away from giving birth. Now that Khai is born, she keeps her little bundle of joy away from the cameras and the public. Just why is that?
Gigi Hadid has been open about her decision to protect her and Zayn Malik’s one year old daughter Khai’s privacy, explaining shortly after welcoming her that she and Malik would not be sharing photos of Khai’s face on their social media. Gigi explained that she’d been inspired by the way her friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, whom she met through fellow bestie Taylor Swift, have raised their three daughters away from the public eye, and decided with Zayn to follow suit. “I have friends who are public figures,” Gigi said in reference to Blake and Ryan, “and that’s how they’ve gone about it. I’ve seen their kids really blossom in a different way.”
