Food In Commercials VS In Real Life!
It is no secret that food advertisements on television and other media platforms have a way of making our mouths water. Yet, when we step out to buy the same food items, they look nothing like the appetizing and perfectly-shaped burgers, pizzas or sandwiches that we see on our screens. The difference between the food in commercials and the one we actually buy and eat can be quite striking. This phenomenon is something that has become quite obvious, and it begs us to question why.
One reason often cited for this difference is that the food in commercials is prepared in a highly controlled environment by professional chefs, photographers and videographers. The ingredients and items involved in the shoot are specially arranged and positioned, and styled to yield a perfect scene that results in the final product looking ideal. In contrast to this, when we buy food or cook at home, it is not as pristine or perfectly placed as the food we see in the commercial. Instead, it is often served with imperfections, unevenly distributed toppings, and sometimes suboptimal cooking.
Another reason for this disparity is the use of special effects and techniques that help make the food in commercials look even more appetizing. For example, advertisers might use tricks to make food appear more juicy or tender, like adding liquid to the burger bun or applying a sheen of oil on the pizza. This technique can make the food look highly tempting but is often not replicated in the final product that we consume.
The reality, therefore, is that while food in ads may look highly appealing, it might not be exactly the same as the one we find on our plate. However, this fact does not necessarily mean that the food we get at home or in restaurants is inferior to the one we see in commercials. Often, the real-life versions of these foods have their own unique charms and aspects that we might not have noticed before, such as a homey feel, personal touch, or certain traditional cooking methods that enhance the taste and overall experience.
