The unsealed documents could shed light on a 2016 defamation lawsuit brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claimed she was a victim of Epstein’s sex trafficking operation when she was a minor. Giuffre had accused British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate and alleged co-conspirator, of facilitating the abuse. In a deposition from that case, Giuffre claimed that Maxwell introduced her to several powerful men, including Prince Andrew of the British royal family.
The documents could also expose details about Epstein’s business dealings, which included investments with billionaire Les Wexner, the founder of Victoria’s Secret, and connections to former President Bill Clinton and former Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
