What is Amazon’s responsibility when it comes to ensuring that products sold on their platform are authentic and approved by the brand name?

However, with the vast array of products available on Amazon, there are certain items that simply should not be sold on the platform.
First and foremost, Amazon should not allow the sale of counterfeit goods. Counterfeit products are fraudulent imitations of genuine products, and they can be dangerous to consumers. Counterfeit goods not only harm the market and the brand name, but they could also put the lives of people at risk. It is Amazon’s responsibility to verify that all products sold on their platform are authentic and approved by the brand name.
