TILL DEATH Trailer (2021) Megan Fox
A husband’s twisted anniversary gift leaves Megan Fox handcuffed to a corpse and hunted through a frozen lake house.
Screen Media released the official trailer for Till Death on June 16, 2021, giving the first real look at Megan Fox’s return to the survival-thriller genre. The film marks the feature directorial debut of S.K. Dale, working from an original screenplay by Jason Carvey, and sets up a nightmare that starts with a wedding anniversary and ends in a fight to stay alive in the snow.
- Emma (Megan Fox) wakes up handcuffed to her husband Mark (Eoin Macken) at their isolated lake house moments before he shoots himself, leaving her tethered to his body.
- Mark’s suicide turns out to be the opening move in a revenge plot, with two hired killers played by Callan Mulvey and Jack Roth arriving to finish the job.
- Screen Media has set the release for select theaters and video-on-demand on July 2, 2021.
A Wedding Anniversary Turns Into a Trap
The setup is brutally simple. Emma travels with her controlling husband, Mark, to a remote, snowbound lake house to mark their 10th wedding anniversary. The night turns dark, and Emma wakes up handcuffed to Mark’s wrist just before he turns a handgun on himself. From there, she’s stuck dragging his body through the house, dead of winter outside, trying to find something — anything — to cut herself free.
What the trailer makes clear is that Mark’s death isn’t the end of the danger, it’s the trigger. Aml Ameen also appears in the cast, and as Emma searches for tools and a way out, she has to dodge two men sent to finish what her husband started.
Emma wakes up handcuffed to Mark’s wrist just moments before he commits suicide with a handgun — and that’s only the first stage of his plan.
The Hired Killers Closing In
Callan Mulvey and Jack Roth play the two men dispatched to carry out the rest of Mark’s scheme once Emma is trapped and vulnerable. The trailer frames the back half of the film as a cat-and-mouse chase through the lake house, with Emma physically limited by the handcuffs and forced to improvise every move against armed intruders who know exactly why they’re there. Fans of grim, confined-space thrillers will find plenty to dig into among the best upcoming horror movies of 2020 and 2021, a lineup that shares the same white-knuckle, trapped-in-one-location tension.
A Pandemic-Delayed Bulgaria Shoot
Millennium Media produced Till Death in Bulgaria in mid-2020, after the shoot had already been pushed back by pandemic-related delays. Nearly a year later, in May 2021, Screen Media Films picked up North American distribution rights, setting the film up for its theatrical and VOD release. It’s the kind of journey a lot of mid-budget thrillers took through 2020 and 2021, and it lands Till Death alongside a wave of other genre releases covered under InfoSearched’s trending movies coverage.
Screen Media has Till Death booked for select theaters and video-on-demand starting July 2, 2021, giving Megan Fox her first lead survival-thriller role in years to carry into the July 4th weekend crowd.
